This weekend the UCI Track World Cup in London took place and after looking on the results and some picture, we couldn’t be happier. Our man Maximilian Levy won second place in the Men’s Sprint competition, again sporting our AURORA vs. KEIRIN Straps! Chris Hoy won first place and Robert Förstermann came in on the third place. Great to see professionals using our gear. Looking forward to the Olympic Games this summer.

Hej.
We are still alive alive alive alive alive….!
After several weeks full of trouble and too much work, we are back on track now. A new flat, workspace/workflow new arranged and finally time to put the focus back on AURORA. It might be a bit late, but we hope you had a good start in 2012. This year is going to be great and we are really curious about what will happen. Some new releases are in the making right now and we will put them online as soon as possible. Besides this we are producing all our handmade goods on stock from now on. We want to minimize the waiting time for you in the future and provide you with a better shopping experience.

Not much talk about not-AURORA-related topics here, but maybe we should change this also for 2012. So let me introduce Perrion from NYC to you. He got his new mixtape “Circuit Breaker” out and you should really give it a listen. It’s on heavy rotation in our studio. Download it for free here and check out this song:

There are some nice events (Berlin Bicycle Fair and Pankt Saulopoly Hamburg Ciddy Alleycat/Polo Tournament) coming up pretty soon and we hope to see some of you guys there.

Max Ritter from Berlin was in town this weekend for the C.O.S. Cup ( German Skateboard Championship ) and we had the chance to met for some pictures at the Berg Fidel Bowl. Sadly not much time to hang out and drink some beers, but at least we got some nice pictures to share…

This years EUROBIKE started yesterday and sadly we are not able to get there again. Really sad, because there are a few pretty nice side events, exhibitors (Cinelli with their classic Laser Track Re-Issue!!!) and of course a lot great people we’d love to meet. Maybe next time.
But if you have the chance to get there make sure to visit this sweet event we are sponsoring a bit. There will be a Goldsprint with some nice AURORA goodies for the best racers and also a Fixed Gear Exhibition. Have fun…

We visited Berlin last weekend. Fashion Week and we are right in the middle. Not.
The only Tradeshow we visited was the 13th edition of the Bright Tradeshow. A nice small show, with a lot great people.

But we also had some time to meet friends in town, party and also have a closer look at this great city. On one side the streetwear scene, nice neighborhoods with small shops, galeries and bars, on the other side touristic sightseeing overkill like every metropolis. And we were lucky enough to find the “Basic Instincts” Exhibition about Dutch Design. Really great, we recomment to have a closer look before it is over. Sadly weekends are too short, to discover more.

The last weekend was a bit longer and so we decided to take our bikes, sleeping bags and tent in the car and drive to Belgium for a short vacation. We visited Brugges, Oostende and Antwerpen and it was awesome. The weather was great, except the storm in Oostende, and also Belgium is a great country.
We found a nice little store – called VIER – in the streets of Antwerpen.
