SILENCE

Hej Friends,
too much silence over here. I’m really sorry for that:
AURORA is still there and there is new stuff in the making, but I can’t really tell, when it is going to be released.
But as always, it’s worth waiting. Promised!
I’m busy with my sewing machine and my friends from the SHRED Crew are killing it on their bikes. They entered the Nucult video contest some weeks ago and made the first place with their edit. The SHRED Crew from switzerland consists of three members, David Pili and Pepy Todesky, who both ride with the AURORA V2 Velcro Straps and Davids brother Laurent Pili who rides with Zontrac Straps.
I’m really proud to support these guys and it’s awesome to see how they beat the AURORA Straps.
But now I better stop the talk, check out the edit!

Good work guys!

Pepy Todesky X AURORA

What a nice suprise. Pepy Todesky from the SHRED Crew in Switzerland just released a short clip featuring the AURORA Velcro Straps V2 he got from me during the Fahrradschau 2013 / Fixed Days in Berlin.
I really appreciate the great feedback he gave me and of course this laid-back clip.

Check it out!

Introducing David Pili for AURORA

David Pili for AURORA

This is David Pili. He lives and rides in Geneva / Switzerland.
He is 26 years old and rides fixed freestyle for more than two years.
With his brother Laurent Pili and Pepy Todesky they created the Shred Crew back in 2011. They gained a lot attention since then and were featured in several publications.
David got a old school style, he loves analogue photography and this is visible with his recent edit. With his bike he went to New York City for some month and brought back this video.

I’m really happy to support him with AURORA, i’m sure there is much more to come. So if you see him or the other Shred Crew guys around your spot get in touch with them and have great session!

Ride safe!

Sebastian

Perrion – “Get A Job”

You might have seen Perrion before, I mentioned him several times on the website and the AURORA facebook page.
He is still going strong working on his new EP. “Get A Job” is the first song from this upcoming EP and Perrion released it with a nice music video.
In the opening scene he is rocking the AURORA “Skate” Shirt.
Good tunes, good taste!

Also check out the “Get A Job” live performance.
There Perrion wears the beloved AURORA “Serif” Snapback.
Really great to see such a great artist supporting AURORA.

WE ARE TRAFFIC: Mianzi Rei and the Winter in Berlin

WE ARE TRAFFIC
Mianzi Rei by WE ARE TRAFFIC
During the Berliner Fahrrad Schau 2013 I had the chance to meet the guys behind WE ARE TRAFFIC. Björn and Till are portraying cyclists mainly in Hamburg, but also everywhere else. With WE ARE TRAFFIC they want to draw attention to the bicycle as means of transport and also show the differences and diversity of each bicycle and his owner.
In the last 6 months they portrayed more than 100 people and they are preparing to raise funds to publish all this as a coffee-table book version. This project is really worth supporting, check out this page to support WE ARE TRAFFIC.

Some of you might remember Mianzi Rei (Part 2), she is a model from Berlin and we also met at the Fahrrad Schau this year. She is riding AURORA V1 Velcro Straps on her schindelhauer bike for a while now and supports AURORA when ever she can. I’m really happy to see this much support from all those great people.

Björn from WE ARE TRAFFIC took the chance and did a spontaneous shooting with Mianzi in the snowy Berlin. The pictures came out really great. Thanks to both of them.

Back from the Fahrrad Schau Bicycle Fair in Berlin.

AURORA at the Berliner Fahrrad Schau / Bicycle Fair 2013
What a weekend!
Got back from the Berliner Fahrrad Schau on Monday and I’m still really tired, but all the work was worth it. So much positive feedback and interest in AURORA during the whole weekend. It was great to speak and see so many customers. A lot people came by and said “hello” or even bought some new gear.
Thanks a lot for your support!
And also thanks to Sandra, for helping out so much and made it possible to set up such a nice booth. And speaking of the booth, thanks to Stefan (and also Max) from 8bar bikes who made it possible and let me share the booth with them. It was a nice to have you around. Also Stefan participated in some of the Fixed Days competitions and he made the third place in the Criterium.
Sadly there wasn’t much time for us to check out the Fahrrad Schau, but a lot friends visited the store and we at least had some minutes to talk. It was great to meet the nice people behind SWRVE UK for the first time, they do some really nice bike related apparel mostly Made in the USA or UK. It was also great to meet the guys at schindelhauer bikes and OZON bamboo bikes/Naturrad again. They do incredible work, still want to get a schindelhauer bike for me, this Carbon Belt Drive System they use catches me every time I see it and try it out. The upcoming releases by 8bar bikes also looked pretty legit.
Check out some pictures of the fair attached to this posting.

See you next year, Fahrrad Schau!

AURORA at the Berliner Fahrrad Schau / Bicycle Fair 2013

But the work continues and there are a lot things in the planning process right now.
I’m making the last tweaks and decisions to get everything done like it should be.
Sounds mysterious right?
To clear this up a bit, I can proudly tell you that I’m working on a lot cut&sew stuff these days. From t-shirts, to buttondown shirts, more caps and also functional jackets.
And speaking of production, the background is also important, everything (!!!) will be Made in Europe/Germany under fair working conditions and as sustainable as possible. I’m really curious about all this and I can’t wait to show the results in the end.

Besides this I also worked on a new cycling kit design, I had a preview with me at the Fahrrad Schau and posted it on instagram aswell. Check it out here. It’s going to be a limited edition, so watch out for the preorder.

…. and speaking of cycling, the first colorways of the 2013 AURORA velcro straps collection will be up soon aswell.

Best,

Sebastian
